Oudon tapauksesta tekee se, että sieppauksen jälkeen Amberin aviomies sai sieppaajilta ohjeita, joita noudattamalla hän voisi saada vaimonsa ja tytärpuolensa takaisin. Marraskuussa vuonna 1987 Korrina lähti kiihdyksissä pois kotoaan riideltyään aviomiehensä kanssa. Korrina ei koskaan palannut kotiin, eikä hänestä ole silminnäkijähavaintoja.
