MELODEE, 9, MISSING, MOMMY: 'NO COMMENT,' WALKS FREE WITH ANKLE MONITOR

MELODEE, 9, MISSING, MOMMY: 'NO COMMENT,' WALKS FREE WITH ANKLE MONITOR

When Melodee Buzzard is first reported missing, school officials fear the little girl hasn’t been seen in more than a year.

The school district discovers Melodee was seen much more recently, enrolling in another year of homeschooling.
Santa Barbara County sheriffs then find that her mom, Ashlee Buzzard, left Lompoc with Melodee on October 7; they were spotted together at a car rental.

Security footage caught Melodee for the last time on October 9. Buzzard returns home the next day, alone. Melodee has now been missing for 35 days.

The only photo authorities have of Melodee is more than two years out of date, as the little girl is “homeschooled” in Vandenberg Village, just north of Lompoc, California.

Ashley Buzzard was arrested on Nov 7 for false imprisonment, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office. Ashley's arrest was for false imprisonment. This is not a child-related charge. So, this arrest is not related to Melodee. And it's not related to the ongoing missing person case directly. But, it is a case that came up amid this missing person case.

Four days after her arrest, Ashlee Buzzard entered a not guilty plea to false imprisonment. Prosecutors argue that Buzzard should remain incarcerated due to her flight risk and potential for violence.

However, her attorneys counter that she does not own a vehicle and did not specifically threaten Brewer with a box cutter. The judge agrees to grant Buzzard bail under close supervision and orders Buzzard to stay away from Brewer.
The 40-year-old is once again walking free.

MUSALO MURDERS UNSOLVED: COUPLE MURDERED IN OWN HOME

MUSALO MURDERS UNSOLVED: COUPLE MURDERED IN OWN HOME

Albert Musalo and his wife, Joan Behrman, are enjoying retirement in Nevada. They moved close to their daughter, Joanne Kohls, and her family, settling in the exclusive gated Montreux neighborhood in a rural area south of Reno. While the country club community boasts multi-million-dollar homes, the Musalos chose one of the more modest houses on the block. Joanne Kohls calls the Musalos’ landline, but the phone rings with no answer. She contacts Montreux’s security to check on them. The guard reports that no one answered his knocking. Joanne and her husband decide to check on her parents themselves. Joanne unlocks the front door and calls out for her parents. She steps inside but freezes. Mud is tracked through the entryway and dining room. Joanne’s husband walks toward the primary bedroom and discovers Joan and Albert shot to death in their bed. Detectives from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office quickly arrive at the scene. There are no signs of forced entry, and nothing of value appears to be missing. Montreux's HOA fees cover an extensive security team. A guard staffs the neighborhood’s front gatehouse 24/7, 365 days a year, while a service entrance is manned 12 hours daily. All visitors must provide identification and receive homeowner approval for access. Even contract workers must obtain daily entrance passes. Investigators initially suspect the Musalos were targeted, but no one can explain why. Body Bags With Joseph Scott Morgan: The New Jersey Mansion Murders - Part 1

Paul and Keith Caneiro are brothers and business partners. They live 10 minutes from one another in New Jersey and on November 20, 2018, both of their homes were on fire. About 5 a.m. the police received a report of a fire burning at 27 Tilton Drive in Ocean Township, Paul Caneiro's home. Arriving on the scene police and fire fighters find Paul, his wife, and two adult daughters , all safe outside the home. In the first hours of the investigation officials determine the fire at Paul Caneiro's home appears to have been intentionally set and gas cans are found on the premises. While the investigation is taking place at Paul Caneiro's home, a fire is reported at the home of Keith Caneiro. While the fire at Paul Caneiro's home consisted of two fires near the perimeter of the home, the fire at Keith Caneiro's home takes 20 fire companies hours to get under control. Investigators quickly discover the fire at Keith Caneiro's mansion was staged to cover up the murder of Keith Caneiro, his wife, Jennifer, and their two young children, Jesse, 11 and Sophia, 8. Keith's body is found in the front yard, dead from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and back. Carly Gregg is a good student but has had trouble at school. She briefly attends an alternative school after being caught with a knife. Her parents revoke her phone privileges after she breaks their social media rules. Friends grow concerned when they discover Carly has a burner phone and catch her smoking marijuana. One friend distracts Carly while another informs her mother. Ashley Smylie confronts Carly after school, warning her that her room will be searched when they get home. Ashley heads to Carly’s room while Carly takes the dogs out. Almost immediately, Ashley finds a box of THC vape pens. She takes the box to her bedroom before returning to continue the search. Carly comes back inside, checks on her mother’s location, and quietly heads to her parents' room. She lifts the mattress and retrieves her mother’s .357 Magnum pistol. Immediately after the shooting, Carly uses her mother’s phone to text Heath Smylie, “You almost home honey?” Smylie replies that he’ll be home in about an hour. Carly then texts six friends, saying she has an emergency and needs someone to come over. One friend offers to call 911, but Carly declines. Eventually, a friend agrees to come. TWIN SISTERS: ONE DEAD, ONE SEARCHING FOR A KILLER

TWIN SISTERS: ONE DEAD, ONE SEARCHING FOR A KILLER

Jody LeCornu and her boyfriend argue, leading to a suggested separation. Her boyfriend asks Jody not to come home that night. After work, the 23-year-old decides to go out with friends to a favorite hangout, the Mt. Washington Tavern. At closing, LeCornu drives a tavern employee home, then stops at an ATM to withdraw money. In the early morning hours on York Road in Baltimore, a white BMW pulls up close to Jody's car, and a man gets out. Jody rolls down her window, and a brief exchange takes place. At 3:40 a.m., the man fires a .38-caliber handgun through the back left passenger window of Jody's car. The bullet strikes her back, severing her spine. As Jody LeCornu flees for her life, the gunman follows closely in the white BMW. Eyewitnesses at the Giant Supermarket and a person making a delivery to Boston Market hear the gunshot and see Jody driving across York Road into the Giant parking lot. She circles the parking lot and coasts to a stop after hitting a curb between the Boston Market and Firestone Tire and Service Center. The shooter waits for Jody's car to come to a complete stop, then pulls his vehicle directly behind hers. Witnesses describe the shooter as a Black male, 5'10" to 6'1", around 220 pounds, wearing a green fatigue-style coat. He gets out, reaches into Jody's car, puts it in park, and takes her purse and cell phone before leaving the scene in his white BMW. The time is 3:41 a.m., and witnesses call 911. Investigators have eyewitness accounts of the man approaching Jody's Honda in the Giant Food Store parking lot and taking items from her car before driving away. Surveillance video and fingerprints also exist. However, no arrest has been made.
