She represented Nigeria in UNESCO 2004/2005.

Below is the Summary of the show Staying in Business with Gloria Durotoye

She talked about how a nine to five job has never been her thing because she believed she could not survive in such an environment. She went on to say that she always liked to have her own space and be creative and as such a nine to five job was not really an enabling environment.

She talked about how she got her inspiration from the uniqueness of fabrics and how her love for the job had kept her going in business. She revealed that overtime she had been able to carve a niche for herself by making her service relevant in spite of competition and building relationships with everyone she met.

Furthermore, she stressed on the importance of character in business. She explained that reputation was what people perceived someone to be and as such if one's character was in place, people will know them for who they are. She went on to explain why it was important for people to know why they are in business. She said that the understanding of their why will guide them when it seems their competitors are dragging them down people will still be able to differentiate them.

She was of the opinion that her business, Glowando had since thrived because of her love for fabrics. In her advice to business owners she spoke about the issue of handling bulk orders and advised that they first have to be sincere to themselves and to map a plan out as they see to each client coming in.

In her opinion, she believed that everyone could be an entrepreneur so long as one's character was in place and they were true to the business and themselves.

She advised against going into business for the monetary gains but instead for the knowledge and flair they have for business. She finally reiterated that for anyone to stay in business they would need to have a good character and attitude towards business.
