It's day two of jury selection in the case the whole nation is watching as former President Trump's goes to trial. And picking the 12-member jury pool isn't going to be easy. After all, how do you find Americans who can put their feelings about Donald trump aside to make an impartial decision? We spoke with two prospective jurors who were among the first to be dismissed. And, we've told you about the epidemic of elderly people being scammed over the phone. Now it's turned deadly. An 81-year-old man ended up fatally shooting an Uber driver because he wrongly believed she was going to kill him. But she was unarmed, and they both were victims of an elaborate scam. Les Trent has more, and we warn you the video is upsetting. Plus, now imagine sitting at home and you hear a loud boom! Then, you discover something had crashed into your roof, blew through the floor, finally lodging into a bedroom wall. Well, it just happened to one homeowner and as Steven Fabian reports, the flying object came from outer space! And, the biggest stars of the WNBA hung up their basketball uniforms and got all glammed up for last night's draft. And in high heels these already tall ladies took things to dazzling heights! A historic moment in America as Donald Trump becomes the first president ever to stand trial on criminal charges. Trump tried multiple times to delay the case during which prosecutors hope to prove the former president falsified business records to disguise hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Ann Mercogliano is at the courthouse for day one of this unprecedented case. And, the whole world watched those jaw dropping images over the weekend of Iran launching hundreds of drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles in a revenge mission against Israel. But today the Israeli military says of the 300 missiles fired at them, 99 percent were intercepted. As Steven Fabian reports, many are saying Iran’s high powered military may not be all that it’s cracked up to be. Plus, the search is over for those two missing moms we've told you about. Their bodies have been found. And in another major development, four suspects were arrested and charged with first degree murder. One of the suspects is actually the grandmother of one of the murdered mom's children. And we've told you about the epidemic of women getting sucker punched on the streets of New York by total strangers. Well just when you think it couldn't get any worse, comes word that it just happened to a nine-year-old girl.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. His death sparked as many headlines as the crimes and football exploits to which he was linked. However, in the end, O.J. Simpson departed this world the way most do: infirm, his health failing - but surrounded by his family and friends. Simpson went to extraordinary lengths to keep his condition under wraps. Les Trent explains how he kept it all private. And O.J. Simpson's trials for murder for which he was acquitted, and for armed robbery that landed him in jail for nine years were widely known. However, there was a another case in which Simpson was a criminal defendant, when he was found not guilty after being  accused of road rage. Jim Moret looks at back at that forgotten case. Plus, just three months after Gary and Theresa got married on The Golden Bachelor, the couple's decided to call it quits. This morning they were on TV talking about why. And Costco sells all kinds of thing, along with massive packs of toilet paper, and chicken cutlets, one can also buy gold bars. As Les Trent reports, that's led to a modern day gold rush. O.J. Simpson, the football great whose murder trial captivated the nation has died of cancer. His family made the announcement today…nearly 30 years from the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Until then, Simpson had been known as an NFL star, sportscaster and commercial pitchman. Jim Moret has the latest on Simpson’s final days. And although, O.J. Simpson was acquitted of criminal charges in the killings, he was found civilly liable and ordered to pay more than $33 million dollars to the family of Ron Goldman. They received only a pittance of that…it was but one of the many controversies in Simpson’s post-football life. Plus, it's a terrifying situation…a little boy playing little league takes a hit right to the chest, and suffers a heart attack. However, there was a guardian angel right there - his mom who happens to be a nurse. And it was one of the most talked about moments on television: The slow speed police chase of O.J. Simpson in his white Ford Bronco. Well, we know what happened to it.   To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. It was a terrifying medical emergency midair when the pilot of a small private plane suddenly slumps over the controls. His passenger, the only other person board, radios the tower and incredibly he is able to safely land the plane. Jim Moret reports, the victim was an experienced pilot who apparently suffered a heart attack. And we've told you about the alarming number of women who have been sucker punched while on the streets of New York. Cops say most of the attacks are not related. Along with the increase in attacks, there has been an increase in women taking classes in self-defense. Our Alison Hall is one of them. Plus, 50 years ago People Magazine hit the newsstands: Now the magazine is looking back at a half century of stories with an issue for the ages. And was he the aggressor who attacked a group of people tubing on a river? Or was he just an innocent man just trying to defend himself? That’s what a jury will soon be asked to decide in the case of a man accused of killing one teenager and wounding four others on a popular river. The rules are clear – don’t let anyone ride in a trailer being pulled by a car, and this tragedy happened as one family journeyed to see the eclipse. As Jim Moret reports, a pediatrician was thrown out the door of their Airstream as it was travelling down a road. And it was the critical thing that everyone reporting on the eclipse stressed – “don’t look directly at the sun!” As expected, not everyone heeded the warning. Plus, The University of Connecticut’s men’s basketball team won its second consecutive national title last night...and no one was happier than, of all people, actor Bill Murray. And a couple in the midst of a contentious child custody battle were shot and killed inside an attorney's office. Now, we've learned the shooter was the woman's former father-in-law who has terminal brain cancer.
