Superfan: Natalie Newbies: Mitch and Brittany and Nasim Fun Facts: Mitch recently played a Smash Bros. tournament and GOT FIRST PLACE! He is a winner! Everyone wants to be his friend. But he's ours. Sorry. Nasim had an awkward Smash related incident where someone just wanted to join her friend's birthday party during the cake cutting to play. And he did. But Nasim's real fun fact is that she had peanut-peanut butter-brownies today. Brittany needed to recover from a family wedding and watched One Day at a Time season 3 and YOU. SHOULD. TOO. And Natalie's real fun fact is that she will be headed to the US of A, to see two live events with the cast of Schitt's Creek and see the land of Peggy and Steve. Episode #298: ‘Agent Carter’ 1×01 — She's My Spider-Man
ReWatchable finally meets Peggy Carter as the hero of her own story in Agent Carter season 1, episode 1, "Now is Not the End." Superfans: Danielle and Karen Newbies: Nasim and Ariana Fun Facts: Karen actually got emotional during Captain America: The First Avenger. Ariana wants to make sure you know Mitch is the one looking at all your emails. Nasim could totally survive the apocalypse. Danielle is probably definitely getting an Agent Carter tattoo by the end of our run! Agent Carter season 1, episode 1, "Now Is not the End": - Was the flashback necessary? Does it add or detract to Peggy's arc? - CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY IS IN THIS! Ariana has some theories. - How do we feel about Sousa standing up for Peggy? - Peggy's relationship with her co-workers was a lot more overtly gross in the one-shot. - What sort of role could Howard Stark have moving forward? - The newbies are HERE for Howard. - But how does resident Tony Stark fan Karen feel about him? - We're introduced to Jarvis! - Ariana appreciates his work-life balance. - Let's meet some other characters. - Angie is pretty fun, but do we want more of her? - Like father, like son: Howard's inventions are being stolen. - What do we think about Peggy's blond wig and American accent? - How do we feel about Peggy using her feminine wiles to win the day? - WHY WOULD SHE TAKE A BOMB HOME? - And how did she know how much to add to the solution? - We're a little frustrated by Colleen's death. - Peggy and Jarvis aren't being very covert. - Iron Man 2 reference! - Is there too much exposition in this episode? - Did you catch the reference to the Roxxon Corporation? - Do the action sequences add anything to the show and the characters? - How did we feel about how Peggy stood up for Angie? - Jarvis and Howard have some secret secrets. - Would this episode have kept the newbies watching if they'd seen it live? - Would Agent Carter be more successful if they'd aired it today? - What if it had been on a different network or platform? - Could Peggy be Tony's mom? - The styling in this show is fantastic. - Favorite Scenes - Favorite Lines Listener Feedback: - We'll have some soon! Join the ReWatchable hosts kick off Agent Carter by going all the way back to the start with Captain American: The First Avenger! Superfans: Danielle and Natalie Newbies: Mitch and Brittany Fun Facts: Mitch's car may not survive the Northeast snow paths, but he is channeling his inner Peggy Carter. Brittany's Christmas tree is growing like the Nutcracker tree... it's mid-January. Natalie has hit the jackpot at a market where second-hand items were all a SINGLE DOLLAR. And she offers some tips for shopping second-hand. Danielle prepped for this by, of course, watching the movie, but also low-key cosplayed at work! Captain America: The First Avenger - Back to the beginning! - First time viewers notice some early wasted actors in the MCU - What could have been with Stanley Tucci! - Cap may not be a popcorn flick, but it is a character-driven film - Meet special smol-CGI Steve - Want some details about smol-Steve? Here you go! - Then there's Bucky Barnes - And then we have Abraham Erskine and Howard Stark who are formative to Peggy's development - On to the reason we're here -- Agent Carter - Some historical differences allow for some normalization of not only Agent Carter's place in the platoon, but everyone's place - Because Cap is such a character driven story, there are several readings that can happen upon rewatch - Should Peggy get the super serum? - Boob touch - Captain America: The First Avenger history, context, and more - How much involvement did the newbies expect from Agent Carter in the end of the film? - The final scene, if you don't cry you're a monster - Favorite Scenes - Favorite Lines Marvel One Shot: Agent Carter - Some directors of phase 1 Marvel movies would make snapshots of the Marvel Universe - Agent Carter's was more of a mini-pilot clocking in at about 15 minutes long - It is NOT canon - Peggy's fighting style carries over into the series - It explores what happened to women after WWII - If you didn't know a series existed, would this get you excited? - Favorite Scenes - Favorite Lines Listener Feedback: - Can you have too much Agent Carter? Episode #295: 'Sense8' wrap up - Midwest Dad Style
Join the ReWatchable hosts as they reflect on their Sense8 re-watch with an all-encompassing wrap up episode. Superfans: Mitch, Karen, Danielle Newbies: Natalie, Kristen, Caitlin Fun Facts: Mitch is a tease about seeing Anastasia on Broadway (he goes on to explain more later). Kristen is enjoying life with a niffler trinket tray (see her twitter for picture) and her new gravity blanket. Natalie wants to know what Mitch is talking about (and here's where we get the full explanation). Caitlin has read 5 books since he started her Christmas vacation and has a couple to recommend. Danielle read 91 books this year and may squeeze two more in before 2018 ends. Karen is reading Slayer by Kirsten White which is a Buffy re-imagining. A quick Sense8 finale discussion (AKA Natalie's thoughts since she was the only one not on the finale discussion episode) - Detective Mun is adorable and wonderful. - Wolfgang's pink jacket (and the rest of the tour bus scene) - She wishes she could have seen Hernando get the full explanation, as well as Rajan - All the sensates being in one place was really special. - Wolfgang's speech after his rescue was a bit of a tearjerker - The Depeche Mode sing along made her happy. - The pizza scene gave Natalie cravings. - She was glad everyone got a moment to shine, including the sidekicks. - The Wolfgang/Kala/Rajan situation reminded Natalie of a conversation they had on Not Another Teen Wolf Podcast a long time ago - We're not sure exactly what was going on with Jonas and Angelica, but we still don't like them much. - The wedding is a bit extra, but wonderful at the same time. Our final Sense8 discussion in which we all share our favorites and general impressions - Mitch's favorite character this go-around was Lito, but it changes every time he watches. From carb-talk to that season 1 scene with the gun-lighter, he just made an impression. - Danielle's favorite will never change, and is definitely Lito. She adored the Amsterdam stuff, Lito screaming at the museum, and, especially, the tourist bus scene. - Karen's favorite character is Sun for many different reasons, including her fighting and soft spot for Mun. - Did anything change for the superfans during this re-watch? - Mitch has a lot of love for Will's style. - Kala fell in a lot of the superfans eyes. - How do the newbies feel now at the end of the series? - Kristen loves Amanita and everything she provided for Nomi and the rest of the sensates. - Caitlin loved Capheus in the first season, but season 2 gave her a chance to truly fall for Sun. - Natalie didn't really pick a favorite, she found something to like about everyone... except for Jonas and Angelica, lol. If forced to choose, she'd probably say Wolfgang. - Would the newbies rewatch? - Do we want to see more Sense8 down the road? Listener Feedback: - Thank you for all your Sense8 feedback! - We loved hearing all your favorite moments and it definitely reminded us of a few of our own. - And it's always nice to hear that people are still digging into our back catalog. So many good shows just waiting to be discovered! What's next? - **drumroll** - The next show we will be watching is... Agent Carter - Keep an eye on our twitter account for more news regarding Agent Carter and our upcoming schedule. We can't wait to start this one! Contact us! Episode #294: 'Sense8' 2x12 - Chekhov's Rocket Launcher
Join the ReWatchable hosts as they continue their re-watch with Sense8 season 2, episode 12, “Amor Vincit Omnia,” the series finale. Superfans: Mitch, Karen, Danielle Newbies: Kristen and Caitlin Fun Facts: Karen saw Into the Spider-Verse and recommends it to everyone. Danielle has memorized the entire Anna and the Apocalypse soundtrack. Caitlin is on winter break and is still tired. Kristen can't not mention Rage by Cora Carmack. Mitch got to see Frozen on Ice featuring Mulan. Sense8 season 2, episode 12, “Amor Vincit Omnia” - We love seeing everyone in the same place, even if it's super confusing. - But did everyone seem a little bit like a caricature of themselves? - Wolfgang isn't being tortured anymore! - But he's still got some demons. - Then again, he could be doing worse. - Jonas is kind of the worst, but then again so is Angelica. - Is she redeemable? - Will is totally the den mother. But Sun takes care of them, too. - They're living together and no one has died yet? WHAT IS THIS MAGIC? - "To be clear, that is a Star Trek reference." - Was the first half of the episode a little slow? - Reminder: Love conquers all. - Sun and Mun are EVERYTHING. - But Mitch has a couple that even eclipses these two. - Rajan is here. - Does anyone have plot armor? - Did anyone think Bodhi was evil? - Dani was terrifying AND WE LOVED IT. - The Mr. Hoy cliffhanger was the wooorst. - It's a little late to introduce so much lore, but it was kind of necessary. - The Chairman = Darth Vader (think about it) - The Exchange is...complicated. - Sometimes we cry about fight sequences. - Karen asks Mitch a Very Important Question. - Did anyone think we'd love Mun this much? - Sun deserves good things. - What did Lila actually want? - That family dinner scene tho. - Backtrack: Bug gives Kala some advice. - We meet The Mother and it makes us want more. - The train sequence is a hot mess, but it was still delightful. - There's...a lot to remember. - Caitlin reassesses her feelings on Felix. - Puck could've been a cool character, but they ruined it. - Too bad we couldn't get more of Puck's cluster. - The Trojan Horse sequence might be the greatest thing to ever exist. - Did we need to lose a character? - We kind of forgot about Diego's family. - The science isn't always consistent, but what can you do? - Wolfgang makes things go boom. - Is the ending too perfect? - IT'S WEDDING TIME. - Mr. Hoy is still alive! Silas was totally there. - Sun's ending is NOT too convenient. SHE DESERVES THIS. - Will meets Riley's dad and it is delightful. - Amanita's parents freaking out Nomi's mom was perfect. - But pot brownies fix everything. - EXCERPT FOR KALA'S INDECISION. - Everybody bangs. But, like, with some class. - And the series comes full circle. - But we need to talk about the whole Rajan, Kala, Wolfgang thing. - And how much this show means to people. - Favorite Scenes - Favorite Lines Listener Feedback: - We need more Avatar: The Last Airbender Funkos. - Karen is pimping out ReWatchable to her favorite authors. - STILL PERSONALLY VICTIMIZED. What's next? - You'll find out next week! Contact us! Email: rewatchable.podcast@gmail.com Twitter: @Re_Watchable Tumblr: ReWatchablePodcast.Tumblr.com Please rate and review us on iTunes!

Episode #293: ‘Sense8’ 2×11 — You Are A We Now
Join the ReWatchable hosts as they continue their re-watch with Sense8 season 2, episode 11, “You Want a War?” Superfans: Danielle and Karen Newbies: Kristen and Natalie Fun Facts: Karen had a really fun time with #Roomietime. Who wouldn't with wine, movies, snacks, and roomie? Kristen did a wine and paint (minus the wine) with her mom this afternoon and had a lovely time. Danielle saw Anna and the Apocalypse a Christmas zom com musical. You got that right, Christmas, zombies, laughs, and songs. Natalie is excited about the Supernatural Christmas-themed winter finale, but her real fun fact is that she has started Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 2 and she wishes she could see a cross over with that show and Agent Carter. Sense8 season 2, episode 11, “You Want a War?” - Apologies for not giving everyone a heads up that this was the season 2 finale. Oops. - Synopsis - Mun shows up at the gala to take down Sun's brother, Joong-Ki. Hells yeah! - Chaos ensues as Joong-Ki pretends Sun is there to kill him. Little does he know, she actually is. - Awesome chase scene may not have been entirely necessary, but we love the opportunity that Sun lets pass. - The best part of the chase scene was definitely when all the sensates stepped up to help Sun. - Puck shows up out of nowhere and gives Sun a lift from the paddywagon crash. - The newbies definitely understand why nobody likes Puck. Lol. - Why is Sun always in her bra and panties? - It's interesting that Puck's cluster has "quarantining" down to a routine. I wonder if they've been through this before? - Worth noting: Joong-Ki's face when he realizes Sun is actually there. Perfection. - Nomi and Amanita, exhausted, propose to each other in their bedroom. - We are really excited that Amanita came with Nomi to London for the big showdown, but it makes Lito's not sharing his sensate life with Hernando. - Capheus wakes up to a bunch of people in his room. Thank goodness they're good sensates. - Logistic travel talk. - Kala gets an easy out as Rajan tells her he has to send her to Paris for her safety. - Wolfgang and Kala are packing to meet in Paris, but Wolfgang gets taken by BPO. - Why didn't everyone feel the taser the way Kala did? - Time to get the gang together! - All the sensates are finally together in an effort to save Wolfgang by getting one over on Whispers and Jonas. - Will gets one over on Whispers... AND JONAS. Boom. Nailed it. - Favorite Scenes - Favorite Lines Listener Feedback: - Not everyone has forgotten that we did Freaks and Geeks! Yay! - Karen is personally victimized by a viewer's Veronica Mars related question. - Fisher's Forecasts and Kristen's Kontemplations: - Sense8 season 2, episode 12, “Amor Vincit Omnia” Contact us!
