Sense8 season 2, episode 2, "Who Am I?" - Synopsis - Will is seeing some crazy Angelica flashbacks. - We all see Angelica's role in all this very differently. - It's nice to see Will get to use the skills he's learned as a cop. - Does Whispers' boss know what he means by, "I'm compromised." - Riley's dad makes an appearance and we all cross our fingers that he'll survive whenever he's on screen. - Nomi and Amanita talk to a lot of very smart people about the sensates' role in evolution. - We love Bug. Odd, but brilliant. - Nomi and Amanita visit Sarah Patrell's mom. - Sarah's mom understands the connection the sensates have to her daughter, and to Will. - Ms. Patrell thought Whispers was a wonderful man... yikes. - Lito convinces Hernando to attend his latest premiere. - That reporter was a wench. - Capheas meets a reporter who wants to get to know him. - We aren't all shipping it... but we want him to have a new friend. - Wolfgang is the KING IN THE NORTH so Felix gets a club. - Sun is a total badass again, but gets out of solitary and paints with her friends. - Kala shows her family her new place and we learn that Rajan's father, Manendra, is running for office. Kristen was happily surprised yesterday to discover that she hadn't seen the latest season of The Great British Baking Show. Karen made banana bread, AKA the only banana flavored thing that she will ever eat. Sense8 season 1, episode 9, "Death Doesn’t Let You Say Goodbye": - Synopsis - We definitely didn't think Rajan's father, Manendra, survived that attack. - How did a very religious woman find herself with such an anti-religious man? - While Kala is visiting Rajan's father, Wolfgang is sitting by Felix's beside. - Sergei comes in and delivers a not-so-veiled threat. - Lito, Lito, Lito. When he cries, the world cries. - Did Lito know that gun was really a lighter? - Hernando is very much the reason that Lito keeps everything together. He is so very lost. - Flashback to Lito and Hernando's first date. - Nomi and Lito don't necessarily have a lot in common, but this scene is really beautiful. - Lito has just accepted that people visit him in his head, lol. - Nomi tells Lito about how she became the woman she is, and there's so much he can learn from her. - Amanita reunites with Nomi and everything seems better. - Will continues to explain the mechanics of how the Sensates connection works, but our newbie is happy that we're still getting some inside knowledge. - Will provides us with some Whispers backstory involving Sara Patrell. *shudders* - All Sensates in a cluster take their first breath together. How fucking cool is that?! - Sun's father visits and he's feeling rather guilty about letting Sun take the fall. - We sink into talking about Peter Kavinsky for a sec because EVERYTHING is better with Peter Kavinsky! - Riley shares the information about her dead husband and how guilty she feels about her grief and his death. - Yrsa and Jonas have very different mentoring styles. - Romance in a cluster per Yrsa: “Love inside a cluster is pathological.” - Riley connects with Capheus over losing her family and its a lovely bonding moment for them. - Favorite Scenes - Favorite Lines Listener Feedback: - We love that someone got our Cell Block Tango reference. - Asking anyone to choose a favorite character in Sense8 is just unfair. - Bug, Amanita, and Dani are all great characters. - Congratulations, Laura! There are a lot of emotions to process. Brittany is going through all the motions with To All the Boys I've Loved Before and has a sunburn shaped like Michigan. Danielle went to Wizard World Chicago and had fun at three panels (ONE WITH CHARISMA CARPENTER) that made her want to go and watch Charmed and Smallville. Sense8 season 1, episode 8, "We Will Be Judged By the Courage of Our Hearts": - Synopsis - Will and Nomi are behaving like phone-a-friend buddies now - Amanita is... crazy? - Whispers is terrifying - Get yourself a Sense8 tag team because they are RIDE or DIE - WELCOME TO SCIENCE OF SENSE8 - Kala is sobbing in a funny movie, thoughts? - Ship names -- sink them! - The wedding is on! Again! But then Dad dies... so... umm... - How is the pacing going? Do we need to kill someone at the end? - Do the flashbacks to Felix and Wolfgang's past help our (well, Caitlin's) feelings about them? - The show does a great job that taps into the cultures and how people express themselves - Capheus is in a no-win situation - Sun has friends!
