RRP: Previewing Luton v Sunderland w/ Sky Sports EFL Editor - Simeon Gholam!
Our Chris Wynn was joined by our old friend - and EFL editor for Sky Sports - Simeon Gholam, talking all about the Championship 22/23 season so far, a little chat he had with our very own Jack Clarke recently, and looking ahead to Sunderland’s trip to Kenilworth Road to face the Hatters! What’s the crack? How has Simeon been since we last spoke a good six months back? What did he make of Jack Clarke after his recent interview for Sky Sports? What has he made of our start to the 22/23 EFL Championship campaign? Did he find the Alex Neil move surprising given Stoke's position, and what did he make of the Mowbray appointment? What can he tell us about our opponents this weekend as we travel down to Kenilworth Road to face Nathan Jones’ Luton Town; Is it at all easy to predict any Championship season really? Where does he think SAFC should finish come May of next year? All this and more! Listen In!#SAFC #EFLChampionship #EFL #LTFC Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

RRP: Dr Jekyll meets Mr Hyde - The Sunderland 2-4 Burnley Review!
*Editorial note* Apologies for the late release lads and lasses, had a minor medical emergency that (surprisingly) wasn't actually Burnley related… Aye. Our Gav, Chris and Phil got together to torture themselves and you with a complete breakdown of the weekends result, as Sunderland capitulated in the second half in spectacular fashion to let a 2-0 first half lead slip away. What's the crack? Well that was a bit of a nightmare wasn't it? How are the lads feeling about the result overall? All six goals reviewed in terrifying detail, from the Lads first two to those crushing four from the Burnley lot; Was the result more about us than them? What was behind that apparent psychological collapse? Is age a factor? Should Tony Mowbray be taking more responsibility for game management? What can the Lads learn from such a defeat, despite maybe not expecting the win? All this and much more! #SAFC #EFLChampionship #EFL Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

RRP: Reaction to Pawson 2-0 Sunderland and previewing SAFC v Burnley!

What's the crack? The f****** **** ref ******* **** and his f****** **** linos and the rest of the ******* ******* EFL are a bit of a nightmare currently aren't they? What did the lads make of the performance overall in spite of the ridiculous decisions from officials? Be nice to see some players returning from injury wouldn't it; What do the lads make of this weekends tie against newly relegated Burnley? RRP - CIRKINCAST: The Sunderland 2-1 Wigan Review - F*** the Refs Edition!
Gav, Phil and Martin got together earlier to react to yesterday's return to winning ways for Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, as a Dennis Cirkin header took all three points from Wigan Athletic! What's the crack? It's nice to win again isn't it; so how do the lads feel? A bit of a rough start as Wigan took to breaking up play, hitting long balls and time wasting - were we worried going into the second half after that strangely inevitable Wyke goal against the run of play; The referee and officials once again let themselves down as we were denied a great goal; are they plain daft or just horrifically incompetent? What a second half performance; after a change in personnel and a tweak to the formation the Lads absolutely tore up the pitch - would love to be a fly on the wall for those Mogga team talks. EMBOOOOOOOOOO; The breakthrough finally came - that the ref let us have anyway - when the ball dropped to Embleton in the box and he didn't disappoint! DENNIS F***IN CIRKIN; What a way to return from injury with a fantastic performance and a winning goal guest of honour Niall Quinn would've been proud of! PADDY ROBERTS; an inspirational performance from the lad! All this and more! Ha'way the lads! #SAFC #EFLChampionship #EFL Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

RRP: Porto Alegre to Pallion - An interview w/ former Sunderland AFC defender Emerson Thome!
Well…our Chris Wynn sat down to chat with one of the classiest defenders Sunderland have ever signed, embarking on a journey through the life and career of the absolutely f***in delightful Emerson 'Paredão' Thome! What's the crack? The journey from Porto Alegre; what made a young Emerson - raised in Brazilian football's golden era - want to play a more direct, combative and aggressive style? Batismo de fogo - The fight to stand out in a crowd of 700 hopefuls in the vast youth trials of Brazilian giants Internacional, and the influence of the Grenal on his young mind; Moving away from his family and friends to fight for a career in Europe, starting with trying to get the attention of the biggest sides in Portugal's Primeira Liga; Accepting the challenge set by a typically bullish Ron Atkinson at Sheffield Wednesday - with assistance from handy personal interpreter Paulo Di Canio - and proving he had what it took to play the English game; Frustrations with what is in his opinion key to the defensive partnership - communication - and his defining role in the Wednesday escape, as well as his move to Stamford Bridge; The arrival on Wearside as Peter Reid looked to strengthen the side for what would be one of the best seasons in living memory for many Sunderland fans - did he know exactly what was expected of him? His love of the club and it's supporters, the exact moment he knew he wanted to play for us and his favourite memories of his time at the Stadium of Light; The best characters he met along the way, his love for Julio, Reidy, Sacko, Quinny and SKP; His struggle with injuries, playing through the pain barrier and maintaining his positive attitude; His career since leaving Wearside, his work for the Red Bull group and his current role in both Europe and Brazil; All this and much more! He's not going to lie to you… HA'WAY THE LADS! #SAFC #EFL #EFLChampionship #EmersonThome Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

RRP: An interview with former Sunderland, Boro and Swansea striker - Danny Graham!
In an effort not to remedy the Sunderland striker crisis ahead of a trip to Swansea, but instead to satisfy his endless quest for footballing knowledge - our Chris Wynn sat down with former Boro, Sunderland, Blackburn, Swansea and Watford striker Danny Graham - talking his 17 year career, hearing his side of a few stories and chatting about his experiences with managers and players past and present! What's the crack? How has life been treating Danny since retiring from professional football last year? Where did his passion for footy come from? How his first first spell at Sunderland came about and stories about his time under *deep breath* Martin O'Neill, Paolo Di Canio, Gus Poyet and Dick Advocaat; His relationship with current Sunderland gaffer Tony Mowbray after a long spell under Mogga at Blackburn; The lads he's played alongside over the years; Danny addresses some of the criticism he's faced publicly and how he feels about it in hindsight and how it felt at the time; The misery of his second spell at the club, what was going on behind the scenes under Phil Parkinson and how it influenced his decision to end his career; His thoughts on Lee Johnson, the strange departure of Alex Neil and how refreshing it is to see the club on the trajectory it is under his old boss; Looking at both his former clubs' form in the Championship so far this year - how does he see this weekend's fixture playing out? RRP: Quick Reaction to Sunderland AFC 0-0 Blackpool!
Gav and Chris got together after Sunderland's draw against Blackpool at the Stadium of Light to break down the night's action! What's the crack? How are the lads feeling about that performance? Is it almost lazy to blame the lack of strikers for our lack of chances, as despite acknowledging how much they're needed we did create chances didn't we? Some brave defending, some great play from Alese once again and good saves from Patto; *Game of two halves klaxon* What happened in that second half? We'll take the points and clean sheets given our current situation, but people are understandably frustrated; Mowbray has asked for patience and we're in no danger as it stands - doesn't both he and the squad deserve the time they need? Back soon lads and lasses! HAWAY! #SAFC #EFLChampionship #EFL Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

RRP: Reviewing SAFC 0-0 Preston (and previewing Blackpool) with Paul Mort!
Gav and Chris were joined by Paul Mort - massive Lads fan, author & host of the ‘Paul Mort Talks Shit’ Podcast - to review Sunderland’s entertaining 0-0 draw at the SoL against Preston - and to look ahead to the Blackpool game! What’s the crack? Well, despite the result it’s fair to say we were all entertained by the performance of the Sunderland players... right? Sunderland had 16 shots, but only two were on target - does that highlight the lack of a striker up top, or is it more complicated than that? Were Preston just like almost every League One side that came to the SoL last season, or is that harsh given they had some good chances? The Lads get rather excited about the potential of our young hopefuls; What did we make of Mowbray’s decision to make attacking subs? What wasn’t so good? Aji Alese was class again, as were Batth and O’Nien - which highlights that it might be a struggle for some good players to break back into the side; Will we beat Blackpool? This and much more - Ha’way the Lads! #SAFC #EFLChampionship #EFL Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
