Paget Kagy is an actress, singer and writer.  She has starred in CRIMINAL MINDS, SCANDAL, along with many short films and national commercials for brands like Google, Apple, AT&T, Toshiba/Intel, etc.  An LA native and UC Berkeley grad, she worked in digital marketing before deciding to pursue her passion in the arts.  Her latest project is creating, writing and producing a romantic comedy series called “Kat Loves LA” featuring Asian American actors as leads. Contributing positive representations of Asian Americans in the media has been one of her lifelong goals.  She is proud to produce and publish content that progresses these media portrayals while entertaining and engaging audiences, from all cultural backgrounds.  She is currently developing the script for a second season, and several other features. Paget shares how creating Kat Loves La has given her the courage to live her passions, be her true self and creating a positive representations for Asian Americans in the media. Marie Claire Lim Moore is a Filipina-Canadian-American working mother and author of Amazon best sellers Don’t Forget the Soap and Don't Forget the Parsley.  After spending the early part of her childhood in Vancouver, Claire moved to New York City and attended the United Nations International School.  She went on to study at Yale, climb the corporate ladder at Citi and travel around the world.  She met her husband, Alex, while working in Sao Paulo, Brazil and they married in Manila, Philippines shortly before moving to Singapore where she managed the Global Client business for Citi in Asia.  Now based in Hong Kong, Claire is Mom to Carlos, Isabel and Sofia and Head of Visa Consulting and Analytics where she is focused on delivering client solutions in the fast-growing payments and fintech space. Deborah Kang is currently serving as a Career Counselor at the University of San Francisco. She was born and raised in Southern California, but when her family moved to Georgia, she followed along and finished her degree in Public Policy at Georgia State University. It was there that Deborah was pulled into the world of student affairs and career development. She obtained a graduate degree in college student affairs administration, and moved with her partner and dog to the Bay Area. With her experiences as a first-generation student and daughter of immigrants, Deborah has connected with students and peers who advocate for all marginalized communities. She has developed and participated in several workshops concerning diversity, and claims that her life’s mission is to redefine professionalism in a more inclusive way. When she’s not working, you can catch her walking her dog with her partner, dancing, practicing yoga or sewing. Deborah shares how she was able to reflect on what she has accomplished to gain the confidence that she has today.  She also shares tips that you can use on your own journey to self confidence. Jen Shyu is a groundbreaking, multilingual vocalist, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, 2016 Doris Duke Artist, and was voted 2017 Downbeat Critics Poll Rising Star Female Vocalist.  She has produced seven albums as a leader, including the first female-led and vocalist-led album Pi Recordings has released, Synastry (Pi 2011), with co-bandleader and bassist Mark Dresser. Her critically acclaimed Sounds and Cries of the World (Pi 2015) landed on many best-of-2015 lists, including those of The New York Times, The Nation, and NPR. Her latest album Song of Silver Geese (Pi 2017) is receiving rave reviews and was also included on The New York Times’ Best Albums of 2017. Marsha Aizumi is an author, national speaker, educator and advocate for the LGBT community. She serves on the National Board of Directors for PFLAG and is on the Parents for Transgender Equality Council for HRC. Marsha is co-founder and current President of PFLAG San Gabriel Valley Asian Pacific Islander. She is author of Two Spirits, One Heart, a memoir that chronicles her journey from fear, shame and sadness to unconditional love and acceptance as she and a Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles Angel of Change Ally.ha has received honors from Congresswoman Judy Chu as a Community Activist, Logo TV as Trailblazer Parent for 2015 and a Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles Angel of Change Ally.
