The Zelda Cast

If you didn't already know, the Champions' Cast is all about cheap plugs, and this week we take it to the extreme: we play a game based off our Musical March Madness tournament (which if you haven't checked it out, A) it's going on right now, and B) WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?). We take the bracket and pick our own winners... with some back and forth negotiations in there to determine some winners and losers. It was a fun ride, and for maximum listening pleasure, play along and decide what song would win if YOU were in charge of proceedings!

It's a busy week in The Champions' Cast, as Andy and Taylor reflect upon the two year anniversary of one of the most impactful and important games Nintendo ever released: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We discuss it's legacy among other Zelda titles and wonder if we'll ever see another release quite like it. Also on the docket: Honoring the 3DS and how it brought old school Zelda to so many new fans, asking whether the 3DS will be more remembered for it's N64 remakes or original Zelda titles, and just a little talk about the recently announced Pokemon Sword & Shield! Since thing last week got a bit testy, we brought in friend of the show / middle man / fight breaker-upper Gooey Fame to give us his two cents on The Wind Waker. The boys relax and run through a bunch of Nintendo news, including new Dr. Mario, Darksiders, and Switch sales numbers, before having a chat about what Zelda game needs the 'Resident Evil 2' treatment and how cool it would be to have Sora and co. from Kingdom Hearts explore Nintendo worlds instead of Disney!
