Tookie Williams was a co-founder of the infamous Crips gang in the 1970s in Southern California. Raised by a single mother, Tookie learned how to be tough in order to survive on the streets. He lived the gang life for a number of years and got heavily involved with drugs. In 1979, Tookie was arrested and ultimately convicted of murdering four people.
