Attorney Keith Smith is running for District Court Judge in Mecklenburg County

Keith Smith has served in the state of North Carolina for over 30 years in various roles associated within the legal community. It was early in my career as a Probation Parole Officer, that I first realized my passion to help others in a way that was both fair and equitable while reinforcing accountability. That same commitment to fair-minded decision-making was later applied to my roles as an Assistant DA and as a Senior Associate Attorney with Mecklenburg County’s Department of Social Services. As an elected District Court Judge, I will adhere to the established rule of law while considering all matters in an impartial manner. I value the work ethic instilled in me by my parents who were of humble beginnings, as they stressed the importance of a strong education, but most importantly, treating people with respect and dignity.
