Kory Helgens is the owner of Spring Run Design Company. In June of 2014 a straight line wind storm hit Kory Helgens’ family farm knocking down 63 trees. Many of these trees were hand planted by Kory’s great grandfather in 1901. He grew up surrounded by these amazing trees. These trees are where he spent his childhood. Climbing, building forts and just exploring. So when he started woodworking from these 63 trees we needed to find a name for our small company. And it only seemed fitting that the name of the company would be named Spring Run Design Company. Paying homage not only to Kory’s family but also the farmland where it all started in 1901 when Kory’s great grandfather planted those trees.
