The Feast of the Annunciation and The Hiddenness of God Today we celebrate the Glory of God and the Hiddenness of God. We celebrate His wonderous workings and the humility of God. This is a feast of Jesus Christ, though we do not see Him during today’s reading and Gospel. Within the Homily we hear about the synergies between the reading and the Gospel. The Homily discusses the first reading’s (not included within this audio) story of The Annunciation. This passage was written about 740 years before the actual Annunciation. Understand why this Feast Day is so important. Saint Louis de Montfort describes this Feast Day as the greatest of all Mysteries. Greater, in some ways, than the Mystery of the Crucifixion. Why? Hear more within the Homily. This is a feast day of the Lord. It is a strange announcement, since it was told to only one person. It is a feast day that is characterized by the Hiddenness of God. Understand what this means and why it’s important to understand within our own Spiritual Journey.
