Another political season is here and so many misunderstandings and bad theology are floating around churches in America. You cannot separate politics from the Church because politics are a worldly, manmade system that the Church will obviously have to interact with. The question is, do we realize and know what that interaction looks like? Today we unpack a reminder for us as the Church of our calling in this fallen world with fallen political systems and leaders. We cannot anoint and “baptize” political aspects and call them holy. The name of Christ is far greater than any political party and should never be used to promote it, but His name can be used as a guide in how to vote.
