MLS: L.A. Galaxy lift 6th Cup title with 2-1 defeat of New York Red Bulls (Soccer 12/9)
Om episode
The L.A. Galaxy add to their already overfilled MLS Trophy cabinet after winning MLS Cup 2-1 over the New York Red Bulls at home. Early goals from Joseph Paintsil and Dejan Joveljić were just enough to ward off RBNY's attempt at a comeback. Sean Nealis did score for the losing side in the 28' but the match became a stalemate the rest of the way. The Galaxy overcame the injury loss of Riqui Puig and came out firing on all engines scoring both of their goals in the first within 13 minutes. This is the 6th MLS Cup title for the L.A. Galaxy, easily the most storied franchise in MLS history. Morning Footy is available for free on the Audacy app as well as Apple Podcasts, Spotify and wherever else you listen to podcasts.
