Tonight’s subject is very provocative…and very prevalent in many homes across America. Is it possible that is causing men to detach from their partners in very profound ways? Consider these shocking stats: Four billion dollars a year is spent on video ography in the United States, more than on football, baseball, and basketball. One in four internet users look at a ography website in any given month. Men look at ography online more than they look at any other subject. And 66% of 18–34-year-old men visit a ographic site every month. Our guest is Dan Mahle, a group facilitator, program coordinator, and blogger on the topic of men and masculinity. His work reaches into many different arenas, from youth leadership and intergenerational collaboration to environmental justice advocacy and men’s work. He lives in Seattle, WA and blogs at WholeheartedMasculine.org His article “Courage to Quit: Why I’m Outgrowing ography and Waking to My True Self” is lighting up the blogosphere.
