Imagine a world where you can connect with a compassionate listener as quicklyas you can order an Uber. Jeremy Fischbach is a co-founder of Happiness Amplification Project, or 'Happy,' which aims to provide people with affordable emotional support on demand. The premise of Happy is simple: there are millions of Americans who aren't receiving the emotional support that they need--they are hungry for comfort, encouragement, and affirmation. Happy aims to connect these two groups with each other over the phone. For example, a person struggling with the aftermath of a divorce can call in and receive encouragement and empathy from a caring retiree who has the time and desire to help support others. Jeremy studied psychology at Princeton, has a law degree, and has been involved with a number of projects at the intersection of psychology and technology.
