Tonight we have a VERY entertaining show about a secret addiction of mine: Downton Abbey! (Tell funny story about why you loved the show) My guest tonight says Downton Abbey as a show and pop culture touchstone has a lot to teach about relationships and modern love. She says too often we throw out the good from the past in our technological rush to connect. Tonight we’ll explore “The Downton Abbey Effect” with Alicia Young and learn how to mine your own past for beautiful emotional treasures. Alicia is a US-based TV journalist, author and speaker who has lived in eight countries. (She is not on the run.) Her books run the gamut from modern manners (practical, not prissy) to being an egg donor, to her experience of working for Mother Teresa. These books have won sixteen awards to date, and are known for their gentle humor. Alicia is also a dynamic speaker and taps her television background to weave stories around a variety of topics. Her website is www.aliciayoung.net.
