#68 Interview: Patrick Murphy, Past “Soldier’s Secretary” of the Army

Patrick Murphy readily recognizes particular veterans, legislators and military administrators with the title ”Great American.” Well, it takes one to know one. He is all of these, as well as husband, father, lawyer, teacher, hockey player and loyal son of Philadelphia. For over a year, he was one of the top four managers of the U.S. Army, first as Acting Secretary and then as Under Secretary. He is beloved by both troops and civilian employees for deep understanding of and love for the military, significant initiatives and direct engagement. The Spaniard met Patrick through his brother Scott, another veteran and lawyer.
