Episode 498: Spec Ops fist fight in Iraq, manslaughter court-martial, & Raiders fighting for justice
Om episode
In this episode we’re discussing a very serious and unfortunate event that took place on New Year’s Day 2019 in Iraq. Then, three Marine Raiders, Gunnery Sgt. Joshua Negron, Gunnery Sgt. Daniel Draher and Chief Petty Officer Eric Gilmet, were involved in an altercation with Mr Rick Rodriguez, a former Green Beret turned contractor, outside a nightclub. The altercation, unfortunately, resulted in the death of Mr Rodriguez. Now, the three Raiders face a court-martial for involuntary manslaughter, among other charges. We are joined by Fred Galvin, a retired Marine Raider officer of MARSOC FOX Company fame, Phillip Stackhouse, the attorney for Gunnery Sgt. Draher, and Bull Gurfein, CEO of United American Patriots, a legal defense fund for military personnel accused of war crimes. We request listeners to call and visit their representatives' office and urge their elected officials to join Congressman Louie Gohmert's efforts in the Justice For Warriors Caucus in defending the three MARSOC warriors: Gunnery Sergeant Draher, Gunnery Sergeant Negron and Chief Petty Officer Hospital Corpsman Gilmet from 3rd Marine Raider Battalion.
