FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIAL: KILLER ATTORNEY ALEX MURDAUGH RETRIAL ODDS IMPROVE AS FORMER COLLETON COUNTY CLERK PLEADS GUILTY

FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIAL: KILLER ATTORNEY ALEX MURDAUGH RETRIAL ODDS IMPROVE AS FORMER COLLETON COUNTY CLERK PLEADS GUILTY

Former Colleton County Clerk of Court Mary Rebecca “Becky” Hill pleads guilty to four charges — obstruction of justice and perjury for showing a reporter photographs that were sealed court exhibits and then lying about it. There are also two counts of misconduct in office for taking bonuses and promoting through her public office a book she wrote on the trial. Judge Heath Taylor sentenced Hill to three years of probation.

This as the South Carolina's Supreme Court granted Alex Murdaugh's request for a new trial in the murders of his wife and son. At the heart of the appeal and review is whether former South Carolina Chief Justice Jean Toal fairly denied Murdaugh a new murder trial. The Supreme Court could reverse or overturn that ruling – and could order the court to give him a new trial.

Claims that Colleton County Clerk of Court Rebecca Hill, being involved in talking improperly to jurors. A hearing was held with Judge Jean Toal presiding one juror, identified as Juror Z, said Becky Hill told jurors to watch Murdaugh "closely" and "made it seem like he was already guilty." When asked if this influenced her vote to find Murdaugh guilty, the juror said “Yes, ma’am.” Toal said Becky Hill was not a credible witness and denied Murdaugh a new trial, but with Hill's plea, will Murdaugh be granted a new trial in February?

ZODIAC SERIAL KILLER CASE CRACKED? LINKED TO DISMEMBERED ACTRESS?

Elizabeth Short was an American woman found nude, murdered in Los Angeles, California, in 1947. She became known as the "Black Dahlia." The case was highly publicized due to its gruesome nature, and remains unsolved. The Zodiac killer, pseudonym of an unidentified serial killer, murdered at least five people in the San Francisco Bay Area over the span of about nine months. He claimed in letters to have killed 37 people, but he was never identified. A new book suggests a conclusion, a connection between the death of the "Black Dahlia" and The Zodiac killer. Alex Baber, Director at 'Cold Case Consultants of America' says he's used AI and his code breaking skills to crack the Zodiac Killer's letter. The Zodiac Killer and Black Dahlia killer are the same. KILLER HUSBAND BRIAN WALSHE TWISTS IN COURT AS WIFE'S LOVER TAKES THE STAND, JURY BRINGS DOWN THE HAMMER

Brian Walshe has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. This after a Massachusetts jury finds him guilty of killing and dismembering his wife, the mother of their three children, Ana Walshe. Ana vanished on January 1, 2023. Walshe, 50, initially plead guilty to improperly disposing of her body and lying to police. He had changed his plea on the two charges before jury selection got underway for the trial, while maintaining that he did not kill her. Prosecutors say the 48-year-old husband dismembered Ana Walshe and discarded her body in multiple trash cans in the area. Police have recovered blood-stained items from the home, including a hacksaw. Ana's body has never been found. Joining Nancy Grace Today: David Studdard - Spalding County, Ga. HELL PIX: HORROR PHOTOS INSIDE IDAHO MURDERS AFTER KOHBERGER SLAUGHTERS STUDENTS, PARENTS SUE

HELL PIX: HORROR PHOTOS INSIDE IDAHO MURDERS AFTER KOHBERGER SLAUGHTERS STUDENTS, PARENTS SUE

Family members of Bryan Kohberger's victims are shocked by the new release of graphic crime scene photos with little warning. Kaylee Gonsalves' parents say they were made aware of it just hours before. The redacted photos show the bedrooms where the murders took place, clearly showing blood spatter on the walls, blood dripping on the beds, and blood smears on the floor where a battle of life and death took place. As it turned out, three of the photos showed body parts and the victims, and had to be taken down by the police. The families of Kaylee, Madison, Xana, and Ethan have filed a lawsuit against WSU, claiming the killings should not and would not have occurred if Washington State University had acted on multiple complaints about Kohberger's inappropriate, predatory, and menacing behavior, the suit seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial for negligence and the wrongful deaths of their loved ones. The 126-page complaint alleges WSU is at fault for bringing Kohberger to the Pullman-Moscow area, where they accepted him into their criminal justice program and hired him as a teaching assistant. Within weeks of Kohberger's arrival, WSU knew there were accusations of Kohberger's threatening, stalking, and predatory behavior led to more than a dozen formal complaints being filed about Kohberger. The families say WSU failed by not taking action and following up on the complaints about Kohberger, ignoring the warning signs that allowed Kohberger's behavior to escalate unchecked. The families claim, "On November 13, 2022, a foreseeable - and, in fact, predictable - tragedy occurred when Kohberger entered the bedrooms of four undergraduate students and violently stabbed them to death. These deaths should not and would not have occurred if WSU had acted appropriately." As the lawsuit heads to court, Kohberger's sister gives an exclusive interview discussing how the family is hurting.
