A Simple Grounding Practice Before Uncomfortable Conversations (Especially Around the Holidays)

A Simple Grounding Practice Before Uncomfortable Conversations (Especially Around the Holidays)

In this short car chat episode of Encourage Moments, I'm sharing a simple, gentle practice you can use before any hard or uncomfortable conversation- whether it's a family gathering, a big work meeting, or a tricky heart-to-heart. This is especially helpful heading into the holidays, but it truly applies any time of year you feel a little on edge or unsure.

You'll hear how to ground yourself, set your intention, and energetically "set the tone" so the most harmonious and ease-filled version of the conversation has space to unfold. This is all about taking care of your own nervous system first, so you don't abandon yourself trying to manage everyone else's emotions.

If you want a little extra support, the Home Pep Talk Library is now completely free—a private podcast of short (about three-minute) pep talks, many of them recorded around the holidays to walk you through before-and-after moments of gatherings, events, and everyday life at home. You can grab it through the link in the show notes and keep encouragement in your ears whenever you need it most.

You can always find me on Instagram @homeconfidenceco—I love hearing how these practices land with you and what kinds of conversations you're walking into with a bit more peace and confidence.
