Diastasis Update! Episode 26 featuring Munira Hudani

Diastasis Update! Episode 26 featuring Munira Hudani

We're back!! after an extended festive break, I have a glorious new batch of chats for you, with some changes along the way, including some solo clinical spotlights from me - let me know if you'd like me to cover a specific topic! And who better to officially launch this new season than Munira Hudani? Whether you call it diastaysis or die ah stasis, this is a contentious topic in postnatal rehab, and I think the conversation around Diastasis rehab is still evolving. I had the pleasure of hearing Munira present on conservative treatment of Diastasis using a bio psychosocial approach at Pelvicon last September, and her second session there was on rehab after surgical repair/abdominoplasty so I knew I had to invite her on the podcast for a chat! In this episode, we discuss: the appearance vs the experience of Diastasis integrating the psychosocial with the bio in Diastasis rehab body image & body dissatisfaction function vs aesthetics navigating post-op rehab for abdominoplasty and...what all of this means in practical terms for abdominopelvic rehab!! You can find Munira on instagram @munirahudanipt and of course I'm there too as @michellelyons_muliebrity Interested in my online courses? Everything from menstruation to menopause, back pain to bowel health and female centric cancer rehab too - all the info is at celebratemuliebrity.com Until next time, Onwards & Upwards, Mx
