Ro: Ploaia rece de ianuarie lăsase în urmă cerul gri de deasupra Forumului Roman.
En: The cold January rain had left behind the gray sky above the Forumul Roman.

Ro: Mihai, cu geacă groasă și un rucsac plin de cărți și notițe, pășea atent pe pietrele ude.
En: Mihai, wearing a thick jacket and carrying a backpack full of books and notes, walked carefully on the wet stones.

Ro: Timpul său în Roma era limitat și dorea să profite de fiecare clipă pentru a-și îmbogăți cercetările asupra istoriei romane.

Ro: La un colț de stradă, aproape pierdut în propriile gânduri, Mihai auzi o voce familiară: "Mihai, ești chiar tu?"
