198. Forever Valentine: Patricia Mann & Jesse McBane

Jesse was an All-American young man who was voted Most Likely to Succeed. Patricia was an All-American young woman on track to become a nurse. When the two met, sparks flew. Even though they were usually separated by distance, they knew they would be together forever. On February 12, 1971, Jesse unexpectedly showed up at Watt's Nursing School in Durham, North Carolina, where Patricia attended, to take her to the Valentine's Dance. The two had a fantastic night at the dance, then left at 11:30 to go to Lover's Lane. When the two failed to return home, friends and family knew something was wrong and began searching for the two lovebirds. Then on February 25, a land surveyor found what he thought was a mannequin leg covered with leaves deep in the woods, only four miles from Jesse and Patricia's last known whereabouts. Upon closer look, he saw the bodies of Jesse McBane and Patricia Mann. They had been tied to an oak tree and covered by leaves and debris. Their hands were tied behind their backs, and a rope was around their necks. This case has remained unsolved for fifty-two years and needs closure. Join Cam and Jen as they go over the case along with the three main suspects. Maybe you will be the one that can help the police solve the case.If you have any information, no matter how small, about the abduction, torture, and murder of Jesse McBane and Patricia Mann, please contact the Orange County Sheriff's department at 919-644-3050 or visit the Orange County Sheriff's Office's website at www.ocso.com.Make sure to check out the long-form podcast The Long Dance with investigating reporter Drew Adamek and writer/filmmaker Eryk Pruitt. 3. Innocence Lost: Bobby Greenlease Remastered Sound

Remastered SoundBeing from Missouri, I have always heard about the Bobby Greenlease case and have been curious about it. It was a heartbreaking crime and was committed with such malice, it is truly unbelievable that these two barflies could do it. I know we, as a society are all jaded by the awful things that occur in today's world but this was a huge case at a time when things like this just didn't happen. https://www.stltoday.com/news/archives/years-ago-a-tale-of-evil-and-stupidity-missouri-s/article_bfd30e6e-b28c-5f16-b1c6-c090074e615c.htmlhttps://www.kansascity.com/news/special-reports/kc-true-crime/article704587.htmlhttps://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/a-byte-out-of-history-the-bobby-greenlease-kidnapping1https://www.fbi.gov/history/famous-cases/greenlease-kidnappinghttps://www.ranker.com/list/kidnapping-murder-bobby-greenlease/amandasedlakhevenerZero at the Bone: The Playboy, the Prostitute, and the Murder of Bobby Greenlease St. Martin's Press (July 21, 2009) ISBN-10: 0312376790A Crime To Remember: Baby Come Home 2014 Season 2, Ep 8 Learn more about your ad choices. edit 10/8/19Cam and Jen rerecorded their first episode because it was just not good. Heck, it was the first time they had ever recorded anything. Many complained of us talking over each other, sound quality and such so rerecorded it for your listening pleasure. The remain first episodes are still up in their original glory. Enjoy! This case has fascinated me since I first heard about it a few years ago. Robert William Fisher is an American fugitive on the FBIs Most Wanted List for the murder of his wife and children.
