From Grief to Grit: Building a Care-First Business

From Grief to Grit: Building a Care-First Business

In this episode of The Natasha Effect, I’m sitting down with Mariam, founder of Premier Comfort Care, to talk about how loss can either break you or build you.

After losing her father, Mariam turned her pain into purpose and created a non-medical home care agency rooted in something deeper than profit. We get into what it really looks like to run a care-based business the right way. Prioritizing clients and caregivers, setting clear boundaries, communicating honestly, and standing firm on policies even when it’s uncomfortable.

We also talk about the personal growth that comes with entrepreneurship. Making hard decisions, taking accountability, handling tough situations, and learning how to lead when no one prepares you for it. This conversation is about responsibility, maturity, and becoming the kind of leader your business actually needs.

And because nothing is ever just one thing over here, we wrap it up with some lighter moments, including Mariam’s very strong love for sardines. Real conversations, real growth, and a little humor in between. That’s the Natasha Effect.
