Sl: Matej in Nika sta korakala po zasneženih ulicah Ljubljane.
En: Matej and Nika were walking through the snowy streets of Ljubljana.

Sl: Bilo je pustno obdobje in okrog njiju so se smejali ljudje v pisanih maskah.
En: It was the carnival season, and around them, people in colorful masks were laughing.

Sl: Zvok harmonike je odmeval po mestu.
En: The sound of an accordion echoed through the city.

Sl: Ko sta prišla do vznožja Ljubljanskega gradu, se je Matej nasmehnil.
En: When they reached the foot of Ljubljana Castle, Matej smiled.

Sl: "Danes bomo osvojili vrh," je rekel Matej, z iskrico v očeh.
En: "Today we will conquer the summit," Matej said, with a sparkle in his eyes.

En: They stepped onto the narrow observation balcony.

Sl: Nika je globoko vdihnila.
En: Nika took a deep breath.

Sl: Mesto je ležalo pod njimi, prekrito s snežno odejo in svetilo v prazničnih barvah pustnih povork.
En: The city lay below them, covered with a snowy blanket and shining in the festive colors of the carnival parade.

Sl: "Kakšen razgled!
En: "What a view!"

Sl: " je dahnala, ko je njen strah počasi izpuhtel v zimskem vetru.

Sl: Matej je pogledal svojo prijateljico in razumel, da ni le pomagal njej, ampak je tudi sam postajal boljša oseba.
En: Matej looked at his friend and understood that he hadn't just helped her; he was also becoming a better person himself.

Sl: Njuno prijateljstvo je danes postalo močnejše.
En: Their friendship had grown stronger today.
