Ro: Iarna era grea.
En: The winter was harsh.

Ro: Zăpada acoperea satul și câmpul din afara spitalului de campanie.
En: The snow covered the village and the fields outside the field hospital.

Ro: Câțiva copaci bătrâni se legănau încet sub greutatea fulgilor.
En: A few old trees swayed slowly under the weight of the snowflakes.

Ro: Înăuntru, însă, atmosfera era caldă.
En: Inside, however, the atmosphere was warm.

Ro: Nu din cauza căldurii, căci era puțină, ci datorită oamenilor.
En: Not because of the temperature, as it was scarcely warm, but due to the people.

Ro: Cosmin și Elena, doi medici dedicați, munceau necontenit pentru a ajuta pacienții.
