What lane are you in?

What lane are you in?

Children need reassurance that they are not being replaced.
And everyone needs to use their turn signals.
You cannot blend a family by speeding, competing, or ignoring the emotional traffic around you.

Here’s the bottom line:
Each lane has its own purpose, its own rules, and its own pace.
Healing is not parenting.
Parenting is not co-parenting.
Co-parenting is not step-parenting.
And if you treat these lanes like they’re all the same road, you will find yourself frustrated, exhausted, and emotionally gridlocked.

So here’s my challenge for you today:
Take a breath.
Look at your situation honestly.

And ask yourself:
What lane am I actually in?
And am I staying there—or am I drifting?
