In 2020 #IPledge

Hey friends! Happy New Year! We hope you've enjoyed some much-deserved time out with your loved ones. Today we are re-sharing one of our favourite episodes of 2019 - our In Conversation episode with Natalie Fornasier. We first came across Natalie and her story when she sat down with Byrdie.com.au in 2018 for a piece titled “I’m 24 and Living With Advanced Melanoma—This Is My Story”. Natalie’s words and insights in that interview were what informed our very last segment of Shameless in 2018, and what pushed us to change our own relationship with sun tanning forever. We had Nat as a guest at our Sydney live show in November, and are so lucky to now call her a friend. Nat is now battling stage four melanoma after the cancer spread to her small intestine and bowel. Given today marks a new year and a new decade, we thought now is the time to help Nat champion her message again. So, Team Shameless has enlisted the help of some of Australia's most influential and recognisable women to make a pledge toward sun safety in 2020. You can watch our #IPledge video on our Instagram page @shamelesspodcast at midday today. The Pledge: Did you know melanoma is the third most common cancer in Australian women? It kills more young people in our country than any other form of cancer. So in 2020, I pledge: To wear sunscreen. To get my tan from a can. And to take notice of my skin - and do whatever I can to protect it. I pledge to get my skin checked if I feel like something’s wrong, or if it’s been a while. To never glamourise sun tanning to my followers. And to educate myself and others about the risks. In 2020, I’m going to be safe in the sun. And I encourage you to do the same. To support Call Time On Melanoma, visit www.calltimeonmelanoma.com.au, or follow them on Instagram @calltimeonmelanoma. To follow Nat on Instagram, search @nataliefornasier.

This week, Zara recommended watching the Actors on Actors interviews with Variety. They’re all amazing! … Fleabag?

Why hello, everyone! On today’s show: remember the ‘wedding of the century’ that we spoke about last week? Yeah, well… it turns out the groom could be looking at decades behind bars. Plus! Publicist Tree Paine has taken a big old whack at professional celebrity gossiper DeuxMoi, Billie Eilish has called out Variety for ‘outing her’, and friend of the show Dave Galafassi is BACK!!! Then we’re doing a slow news week! This week, Zara recommended reading ‘How millennials learned to dread motherhood’ in Vox. Mich recommended reading a piece in the ABC called ‘Agatha Christie was the most famous detective novelist in the world. Then she found herself at the centre of a mystery’. This episode was audio produced by Annabelle Lee. Big thanks to Dan’s Daily for making this episode possible. Head to dansdaily.com.au now to uncover the next big thing in drinks today. Versailles, aquarium, potato potahto!

Versailles, aquarium, potato potahto!

Hellooooo, everybody! On today’s show: videos of Tommy Fury partying it up with Chris Brown in Dubai are making us feel… a lot of things. The wedding of the century is here and the TikToks are something else, the main takeaways from Kylie Jenner’s interview with Jennifer Lawrence, Diddy has been accused of sexual assault by two more women, and the British podcast that unwittingly cancelled the impending wedding of a major influencer. This week, Zara recommended reading ‘Happily Ever Divorced’ in The Cut. Mich recommended listening to the audiobook version of Green Dot by Madeleine Gray. Big thanks to MECCA for making this episode possible. Head in-store or online at MECCA.COM now to shop for the most wanted gifts wrapped with love. This episode was audio produced by Annabelle Lee. Just... Justin Timberlake: Part three

Just... Justin Timberlake: Part three

Hey, legends!  Welcome to the third and final part of our series on Justin Timberlake. Just saying his name is enough to elicit a reaction. For some, he’s the hitmaker who turned boy band adoration into pop superstardom. For others, he’s the prime example of everything to dislike in a celebrity. This episode was researched by Eilish Gilligan and audio produced by Annabelle Lee. Big thanks to Lo Bros for making this episode possible. To try the Lo Bros Purple Grape Kombucha, head to selected Coles supermarkets or independent grocery stores to purchase. Got some thoughts on this scandal you wanna share?
