Unsolved Murder of Kelly Lynn Albright

This week on Lipgloss & Lobotomies, we’re stepping into a place where grief rots into legend and the line between tribute… and obsession… disappears.

Deep in the canals of Xochimilco lies the infamous Island of Dolls—a haunting landscape where hundreds of decaying dolls hang from trees, their hollow eyes watching, waiting. What started as one man’s attempt to appease a restless spirit quickly spiraled into something far more disturbing. Was it guilt? Madness? Or was something truly watching him from the water?

But the dead don’t just linger in folklore.

We also unravel the heartbreaking and still unsolved murder of Kelly Lynn Albright—a case that leaves more questions than answers. A life taken too soon, a family still searching, and a silence that feels just as eerie as the island itself.

Two stories. One chilling question: What happens when the past refuses to stay buried?

So grab your lipgloss, lock your doors, and settle in… because some things don’t just haunt places—they haunt people.
