Living Life (not) in the Military

“Shoot, Dive, Fly”, “The Brave”, “The Dreamcatchers”. These are some of the famous books that Rachna Bisht Rawat has authored. Through her exquisite writing skills, she brings the stories of the men in olive green, who are deployed in the coldest of the mountains and the driest of the desserts, who have their nation and their regiment as their top priority, who are living away from their families just because we can live with ours. Hailing from a military family, Rachna Bisht Rawat has had a unique life, moving from one place to another, studying in different schools, meeting new set of people every two years, and making new set of friends every now and then. From writing blogs of her anecdotes, she encounters; she has had a long journey as her books are one of the best selling in the country containing the stories from the regiments of different people that she has come across her life. From a shy child to a very expressive and positive person, Mrs. Rawat has experienced different phases of her life. After having such an enriching podcast with her, it doubled my motivation to join the Indian army (which is my dream job). Her stories are unique, and her life journey contains a lot of encounters, which eventually gave us one of the best authors. It has been an immense pleasure and honor talking to such a creative person.
