Episode 21- From Bedside to Building a Business: A Nurse's Reinvention

Episode 21- From Bedside to Building a Business: A Nurse's Reinvention

What happens when a nurse walks away from the bedside… and builds something entirely her own?

This week on Call the Nurse, I’m sitting down with my longtime friend and former coworker, Amy Springer. We spent over a decade working side by side in the hospital—long shifts, endless chaos, and a whole lot of laughter in between. But a few years ago, she made the decision so many nurses think about… and actually left.

Now, she’s built a thriving business in aesthetics, IV therapy, and wellness—helping women feel strong, confident, and supported in a completely different way.

In this episode, we talk about what it really looks like to leave the hospital, the identity shift that comes with it, and how she balances being a business owner, a mom, and a wife. We also get into the truth behind some of the fastest-growing trends in wellness right now—GLP-1s, peptides, IV therapy—and why where you get these treatments matters more than people think.

This conversation is about more than beauty or business. It’s about evolution. It’s about redefining what care looks like. And it’s about giving yourself permission to build a life that actually feels good.

Because sometimes… the most powerful thing you can do is answer the call in a new way.
