Meet Hawwa Ajufaan, aka Ajja @mrs.curlyflorist ! When the Covid-19 pandemic paused her 15-year hospitality career, a temporary gig at a Malé flower shop sparked a brand new passion. Today, she isn't just arranging flowers, she’s telling stories.
Watch as Ajja works her magic in the studio. Instead of copying Pinterest, she designs custom floral art that breathes life into spaces, perfectly matching her clients' personalities while keeping the Maldives' unique climate, culture and architecture in mind.
Why Ajja is an inspiration:
The Hustle: With no local floristry schools, she turns her vacations into study trips. She is currently on track to earn her International Master Florist title in Belgium.
The Vision: She recently launched her virtual studio, Mrs. Curly Florist, with the ultimate dream of teaching young Maldivians this delicate yet powerful craft.
