Introducing the Pop-up Podcast at HUNT & GATHER

Hi, I'm DeeDee coming to you from the podcast lounge at HUNT & GATHER in the Sunset District of San Francisco. In this introductory episode, I am joined by local artist and guest host Nate Tan. We each offer three pieces of advice that we would give our younger selves just getting started in business.

Nate and I run four businesses and work together on projects and collaborations. Nate owns an apparel brand called New Skool and is a graphic designer and illustrator for his company Nate1design. I am also a graphic designer and the owner of the San Francisco-based design studio ARTdeezine, founded in 2006. I also own HUNT & GATHER (H&G) founded in 2018. H&G is a seasonal gallery, pop-up shop, and design studio serving local artists and makers.

Nate and I have been in business for around 20 years and love collaborating and working with other seasoned local creatives. We also love helping and guiding the newer generations of creatives as they start and grow businesses. We hope to use H&G and this podcast as a platform to serve our community of creatives so that they may save time and experience fewer challenges than we did by offering advice and strategy for branding, marketing, and operations, as well as a supportive community to belong to because together we are better!

At HUNT & GATHER, we are always looking for Creative Entrepreneurs who want to be part of a supportive community of like-minded creatives. We offer a platform to sell and test products and services via pop-ups, business and creative trainings, and workshops to elevate business skills in a fun environment and space to conduct business, whether for meetings, content creation, networking, and so much more!

We call this podcast the Pop-up Podcast because we plan on using the podcast to expand our reach beyond the H&G gallery walls. We will be interviewing local artists and makers from our community and promoting local businesses. Stay tuned for opportunities to pop up on the podcast soon!
