Sl: Živa je stala na pomolu ob Blejskem jezeru, veter pa je rahlo premikal njene svetle lase.
En: Živa stood on the pier by Blejskim jezeru, the breeze gently moving her light hair.

Sl: Pogledala je čez jezero, kjer se je v vodi odsevala podoba otočka s cerkvico.
En: She looked across the lake, where the image of the little island with a church was reflected in the water.

Sl: Pomlad je razcvetele trave barvala v živo zeleno, ptiči pa so prepevali svojo jutranjo pesem.
En: Spring painted the blossoming grass in vivid green, and the birds sang their morning song.

Sl: Bilo je prvega maja, praznik dela, ko so se ljudje zbrali na piknikih in druženjih.
En: It was the first of May, Labor Day, when people gathered for picnics and social events.

Sl: Vendar pa dan za Živo in njenega brata Roka ni bil običajen.
En: However, the day was not ordinary for Živa and her brother Rok.

Sl: Po zadnji nesoglasici se nista veliko pogovarjala.

Sl: "Seveda.
En: "Sure.

Sl: Greva.
En: Let's go."

Sl: "Oba sta se usedla v čoln, Živa pa je začela veslati.
En: Both of them sat in the boat, and Živa started rowing.

Sl: Ko sta prispela do sredine jezera, kjer je vladala popolna tišina, je Živa globoko vdihnila in začela pogovor.
En: When they reached the middle of the lake, where complete silence reigned, Živa took a deep breath and started the conversation.

Sl: "Morava se pogovoriti o tistem, kar se je zgodilo v družini," je začela.
En: "We need to talk about what happened in the family," she began.

Sl: "Rok je zavzdihnil.
En: Rok sighed.

Sl: Lahko se dogovoriva, da bova odslej bolj odprto govorila?
En: Can we agree to communicate more openly from now on?"

Sl: "Rok je prikimal, njegov nasmeh pa je bil širši kot prej.
En: Rok nodded, his smile wider than before.

Sl: "Seveda.
En: "Of course.

Sl: Oba si želiva biti boljša.
En: We both want to be better."

Sl: "Ko sta se vrnila na obrežje, se je njuna vez zdela močnejša.
En: When they returned to the shore, their bond felt stronger.

Sl: Bled je še vedno žarel v popoldanskem soncu, voda pa je šumela v blagih valovih.
En: Bled still glowed in the afternoon sun, the water murmured in gentle waves.

Sl: Pomladno sonce je sijalo nad njima, ko sta se sprehodila nazaj proti mestu, obetajoč si nov začetek v njunem odnosu.
