#117 - Simon Kearney - Training Australia’s Greatest Athletes

Simon Kearney is one of Australia's leading Sport Scientists and the Founder of 'Readiness', a scientifically-backed online platform helping businesses and schools support the mental health and physical wellbeing of employees, teachers and students.

Simon has been one of the best in the sports science game for over 20 years, working with the biggest names in Australian sport to help them be the very best in their field.

If you think we are lying, check out this resume!

Strength & Conditioning Coach at Melbourne FC in the AFL and Melbourne Tigers in the NBL, head of Sports Science at Melbourne Storm under Craig Bellamy and Sports Science Manager at St Kilda Football Club in the AFL.

He even spent time on the tennis circuit alongside Aussie Sensation, Alicia Molik!

Since conquering every sport in Australia and working with names such as Billy Slater, Nick Riewoldt, Andrew Gaze and Cameron Smith, Simon has since founded a wellbeing platform with the founder of Jayco Caravans, Gerry Ryan.

Their goal? To completely transform the way schools, businesses and sports clubs approach performance and wellness of their students and staff. On and off the field, and inside and out of the workplace/classroom.

This was an awesome chat as we learnt so much about the field of Sport Science as well as the importance of a holistic approach to wellness. Both mentally and physically.

So sit back and enjoy our chat with the legend himself, Simon Kearney.
