#212 - Arryn Siposs - The Wild Ride to the Super Bowl & the Brutality of the NFL

Arryn Siposs is a former NFL Punter who played in Super Bowl LVII with the Philadelphia Eagles.

He also played for St Kilda in the AFL playing 28 games across his 5 year career.

Now this story is a rollercoaster like you wouldn't believe.

Arryn shares his insane journey to the NFL after easing out of the AFL and pursuing a career in punting.

From the college lifestyle at Auburn University, Alabama to the adaption of life in America it was certainly a environmental shift.

We hear the story of taking part in the NFL combine and being drafted to the Detroit Lions and the battle that begins from there in pursuit of a contract.

But the highlight is when he made his way to Philadelphia to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, the Eagles.

Arryn lifts the lid on how the contracts worked, the fanatic fans, the feeling of the money hitting the bank account and the incredible pressure to perform in such a cut throat environment.

But we also hear the devastating lows. He reflects on the infamous punt in the Super Bowl which is a moment that still haunts him to this day. Plus, the brutality of being cut in an instant when you're no longer a required service to the team.
