On Matrescence, Goddess Energy and the Myth of Inanna

In this inaugural episode of season 3 of Conversations with the Planets, Alicia and Lori talk about the process of becoming a mother and birthing other creative projects with the help of the goddess.

We discuss the Babylonian myth of Inanna, where the goddess of love and fertility must shed 7 layers as she descends into the underworld to care for her grieving sister Ereshkigal. While Inanna is killed and hung on a meat hook, her friends come to save her and bring her back. A life/death/life story of intense transformations, this myth can provide support and guidance during matrescence periods and other times of creative transformation.
