What if the most important nutrient your body needs isn't on any food label?

Ethan Okunas, RD is a registered dietitian who spent years in outpatient weight loss watching patients do everything right and still gain the weight back. What he eventually discovered had nothing to do with macros or calories. It had to do with light.

In this conversation, Ethan makes a compelling case that light functions as nutrition for our cells. Your mitochondria use infrared and red wavelengths from sunlight to run more efficiently, regulate glucose, and maintain the cellular coherence that underlies real health. Remove that input, as modern indoor life largely does, and no amount of careful eating fully compensates.

Topics include: the Glen Jeffery study showing red light reduced post-meal glucose by 27%; why a 10-minute walk after eating drops blood sugar more than most dietary interventions; Ethan's theory that insulin resistance is actually a mitochondrial protection mechanism; why low-carb diets often destroy sleep; and what coherence actually means in quantum biology terms.

Ethan also shares what it's like to live in both worlds simultaneously: still working in conventional outpatient dietetics while running a quantum health coaching practice, and what that gap has taught him about where people's attention should actually go.
