According to speaker, author and founder of I AM MAN. COM, Robert Marshall, one in six men has been sexually abused. He states, " When I first heard these statistics, I was blown away. Men are dying from within because of the pain and shame that comes with sexual abuse." Today he is with us to talk about his project called Echoes. The project that shares the truths about the effects of sexual trauma and the impact it has on men's lives. Part of the project includes a book and documentary telling stories from all walks of life giving a framework to understand sexual violence. These assaults on men influence incarceration, suicide, violence, and homelessness rates around the world.   Robert is a leading expert, author, and  motivational speaker in the educational and wellness arenas.Through his transformational and relational methods of speaking and coaching, he has empowered thousands and has made it  his life's work to empower people to become the best versions of themselves.

Known as the accidental healer, Johnny was born and raised in the small town of Fresno, California. During childhood he would consistently predict events (mostly tragic) - It wasn't until his teens and battle with anxiety and depression along with joining an abusive spiritual movement that he knew there had to be more to life than how he was taught. This began his spiritual journey where over the years he would sort of become an autodidact (self taught) healer. He began with learning meditation, hypnosis, chakra healing and he began creating his own forms of it. On June 12, 2016, Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old man, killed 49 people and wounded 53 more in a mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub. Orlando Police officers shot and killed him after a three-hour standoff. Pulse was hosting a "Latin Night", and most of the victims were Latino. It is the deadliest incident in the history of violence against LGBTQ people in the United States as well as the deadliest terrorist attack in the U.S. since the September 11 attacks in 2001, and was the deadliest mass shooting by a single gunman in U.S. history until the shooting in Las Vegas in 2017. Our guest today was the owner of Pulse Nightclub, Barbara Poma. She is now the sole founder and executive director of onePULSE Foundation.  onePULSE Foundation is the nonprofit organization established in the aftermath of the June 12, 2016 tragedy at Pulse nightclub to create a sanctuary of hope and honor and preserve the legacy of the 49 people killed, 68 injured, and countless others who were affected. The four pillars of its mission are to create and support a memorial that opens hearts, a museum that opens minds, educational programs that open eyes, and legacy scholarships that open doors. There are two heinous bills in Florida that are making strides towards becoming law there.  The first is a "Don't Say Gay" bill.   HB1557/SB 1834 would ban classroom discussions about sexual orientation and gender identity in schools, erasing LGBTQ identity, history, and culture — as well as LGBTQ students themselves.The bill also has provisions that appear to undermine LGBTQ support in schools and include vague parental notification requirements which could effectively “out” LGBTQ-identifying students to their parents without their consent. The second is an LGBTQ book banning bill. SB 1300 would empower homophobic parents to challenge reading materials that contain affirming LGBTQ+ characters or content. Helping us deconstruct these bills and their prospects of becoming laws is our friend Brandon Wolf, Press Secretary of Equality Florida. Brandon is quoted as saying, "The Florida legislature should focus its energies on solving for the needs of Floridians, not turning our education system into the next political battleground in their culture wars.”  We will be talking to him about the ramifications of what is happening, and how LGBTQ Floridians and allies can fight back.
