357: The Disappearance of Relisha Rudd

On March 19th, 2014, school officials in Washington, DC went to a local homeless shelter to follow up on an 8-year-old student named Relisha Rudd due to her having missed more than two weeks of school. For several weeks, they'd reportedly been told by Relisha's mother that she was under a doctor's care. They were stunned to find out that the so-called doctor was actually a custodian at the shelter and that none of Shamika's family members had seen her for 18 days. Where was Relisha Rudd and who was the janitor that she'd seemingly disappeared into thin air with?
