Who Invented Drinking Around The World

Grab a drink and join the conversation—this week on Dudes Dish Disney, the guys sit down with the legendary “inventor” of Drinking Around the World at EPCOT—CONGO Carl! 🍻🌍

In this fun and nostalgic episode, Carl shares the origin story of how a casual day in World Showcase turned into one of the most talked-about unofficial Disney traditions. From the early days of exploring each pavilion to how the idea spread among Disney fans, the dudes dive into the history behind the phenomenon and how it evolved into a must-do challenge for many park goers.

They also get into the “why” behind it all—what makes Drinking Around the World so appealing? Is it the cultural exploration, the social experience, or just a really good excuse to try amazing beverages from around the globe? Carl gives his take on what makes it special and why it continues to be a fan-favorite activity at EPCOT.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Dudes Dish Disney without some strong opinions. Carl shares his personal thoughts on how the experience has changed over the years, tips for doing it the “right” way, and what he thinks Disney could do to enhance (or maybe rein in) the tradition moving forward.

It’s a hilarious, insightful, and surprisingly heartfelt look at one of Disney’s most iconic fan-created experiences—cheers to that!
