After participating in the 1969 Stonewall uprising, Brenda helped organize the first Christopher Street Liberation Day March, now recognized as the world's first Pride parade. Her lifelong dedication to LGBTQ+ rights, inclusion, and activism helped lay the foundation for Pride celebrations around the world and left a lasting impact on generations to come.

Eleven ducklings were safely rescued from a storm drain by local animal rescuer John DeBacker. After a careful rescue effort and a happy reunion with their mother, the duck family was guided safely to a nearby canal where they swam away together.
