Fi: Teekaupan ovesta astui sisään aamun ensimmäinen asiakas.
En: The first customer of the morning stepped through the door of the tea shop.

Fi: Oli kesäkuun alku ja aurinko paistoi lämpimästi Helsingin yllä.
En: It was the beginning of June, and the sun was shining warmly over Helsinki.

Fi: Lauri, teekaupan vakiokävijä, asteli tiskille.
En: Lauri, a regular visitor of the tea shop, walked up to the counter.

Fi: Hän tervehti Miljaa, teekaupan omistajaa.
En: He greeted Milja, the owner of the tea shop.
