Ro: Într-o seară liniștită de primăvară, când florile încep să învăluie Bucureștiul într-un parfum dulce, Sorin urca scările spre observatorul hotelului InterContinental.
En: On a quiet spring evening, when the flowers begin to envelop București in a sweet fragrance, Sorin climbed the stairs to the observatory of the InterContinental hotel.

Ro: Vântul cald îi mângâia fața, dar inima îi era grea.
En: The warm wind caressed his face, but his heart was heavy.

Ro: În rucsac avea urna cu cenușa partenerului său iubit, Andrei, și o promisiune de îndeplinit.
En: In his backpack, he carried the urn with the ashes of his beloved partner, Andrei, and a promise to fulfill.

Ro: Observatorul era un loc ales de Andrei.
En: The observatory was a place chosen by Andrei.

Ro: Aici, de sus, vedeau tot orașul.
En: Here, from above, they could see the whole city.

Ro: "O să-mi visez viitorul în fiecare luminiță de acolo," spunea Andrei zâmbind, și Sorin nu putea să uite cât de fericit părea.
En: "I will dream my future in every little light out there," Andrei used to say, smiling, and Sorin could never forget how happy he seemed.

Ro: Când Sorin ajunse în fața liftului, un semn mare atârna de ușa principală: "Închis pentru eveniment privat.

Ro: " O fâlfâire de panică îi strânse inima.

Ro: Emoțiile trecutelor clipe împărtășite urcau dintr-o dată la suprafață, mai vii și mai aspru ca oricând.

Ro: Ce să facă acum?
En: What was he to do now?

Ro: Mara, aflată în trecerea ei obișnuită, l-a observat pe Sorin și lacrimile ce-i alunecau pe obraji.
En: Mara, in her usual passing by, noticed Sorin and the tears running down his cheeks.

Ro: A fost suficientă o privire pentru a presimți povestea tristă pe care o purta cu el.

Ro: „Ești bine?

En: Mara smiled encouragingly and extended her hand.

Ro: „Hai să găsim o soluție,” îi spuse ea.
En: "Let's find a solution," she said to him.

Ro: Mara îl strânse de mână și șopti: „Nu ești singur.
