The Murder of Steven Cornejo

On the early morning of June 25, 2005, after celebrating a friend's birthday in Fairfax County, Virginia, 23-year-old Steven Cornejo was shot and killed outside an apartment complex. What followed would leave his family searching for answers for more than two decades.

In this episode, I sit down with Steven's cousin, Jessica, along with journalist Dave McKenna, to examine the events leading up to Steven's death, the investigation that followed, and why his family continues to fight for answers twenty years later.
