Time to regulate South Africa’s rogue online gambling operators

Research shows that illegal online gambling operators accounted for approximately 62% of all online gambling activity in South Africa, diverting more than R50 billion in gross gambling revenue offshore annually. John Maytham speaks to Sean Coleman, CEO of the SA Bookmakers Association about why we urgently need to regulate the sector, and how this can be done, following the example of country’s like Australia.
