The Masters at Augusta: What makes it so special?

The Masters at Augusta is the first men's major of the golf season. It takes place every year in the Georgia sunshine and is famous for its beauty, tradition and immaculate presentation. The winner is presented with a green jacket, granting them exclusive access to a club containing some of the sport's greatest ever players, including Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Rory McIlroy who famously won it 2025.

The BBC's golf correspondent Iain Carter explains to Maz Farookhi why the event - held at the exclusive members course, the Augusta National - is so unique.

Journalist, Alex Miceli, discusses the event's traditions such as the Champions Dinner, which is hosted and curated by the previous year's winner. Only past winners of the Green Jacket and the current Masters chairman are allowed to attend.
