Tips to Fit Your Running Training with Your Lifestyle, with Forrest Boughner

For runners, there never is a one-size-fits all option when it comes to training. Everyone comes from different backgrounds, different lifestyles, and different preferences. So, when you approach your training plan for your next big goal, it’s crucial to be aware of your own specific needs before diving into the miles.

Thankfully, Forrest Boughner joins us today on the podcast to share his tips and suggestions on how to best shape your training when it comes to running!

Forrest is the Lead Guide and Coach for Alpine Running Guides, which is a coaching and guiding company for runners. Forrest has 12+ years of coaching experience, holds course records and podiums across the West, and is a USATF Certified Coach. He has extensive experience and knowledge when it comes to trail running, mountain running, and road running so he’s the go-to guy for this episode!

In this episode, Forrest shares his suggestions on the most important things to consider when diving into a training block, how to fit in your everyday lifestyle with running, and how to approach your training in a sustainable way.

Plus, Forrest is hosting a winter trail running retreat in Tucson, AZ this upcoming January! Join him and Adam Peterman (yep, the Western States 100 champion!) for days of running tons of trails, exploring the beautiful AZ desert, great food, and comfortable lodging.
